Delete that entry, and it should solve the problem. Dell had me go to msconfig and diable all the start ups however then I loose the touchpad scroll function? The Dell forum also had others with apoint.xe same issue.

I was told to uninstall the touch pad driver which I did then go to the dell web aponit.exe and reinstall I did that also still get the same problem Apoint.ee solution was to go into the registry and delete everthing with ALPS not too sure if I should do this. Take a screen shot if that is easier and attach it to your next post. Some had the uninstall etc work OK some did not.
It is free and quick. In the start-up a little window opens with the touch pad icon and Apoint. If you don’t have a favorite utility yet, look into Glary Utilities. It does have something to do with the touch pad which is working ok however delo I say OK the touch pad icon closes also.
